Silent Hill: Book of Memories delayed till October

In what appears to be a slap in the face to Silent Hill fans, Konami has announced that their PS Vita title, Book of Memories, has been delayed till October 31st.

Here is the message left by the Konami Social Team on Silent Hill’s facebook fan page:

Dear Silent Hill fans,

Due to unfortunate circumstances, the franchise’s debut on the PS Vita, Silent Hill: Book of Memories, has been delayed to October of this year. We deeply apologize for this delay and hope to further update you on the development soon. Thank you for your continued patience.

-The Konami Social Team

Book of Memories was originally scheduled to be released at the end of March, but saw a delay close to its intended release date, breaking the chain of Silent Hill month.

But now, this should give Konami a chance to fix any bugs and add/remove any features, seeing as how Konami struck out with its HD collection, when it turned out it carried a lot of problems.

Ghost Recon: Future Soldier launch trailer revealed

With one week left to go, Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is looking bigger and better than ever, and this new launch trailer proves it.

What’s really impressed me about Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is how incredibly unique it is in comparison to the Call of Dutys and the Battlefields. If you read my last post surrounding the story trailer that arrived last week, you can sense I’m getting more and more excited about this game as it approaches. I didn’t think I could get any more excited about a shooter game, but I’m anxious to return to the Ghost Recon universe.

So what does the trailer offer? Well this was the first I saw of the “drones”, which is a handheld, mini-helicopter that the Ghosts will likely use to scout their targets. There was also an increased usage of invisibility camouflage, something that you don’t normally see in a war-shooter game like this, but given that this is a futuristic setting, and these are the “Ghosts”, it seems to fit well.

I also liked the variety of locales made available, either in story mode  or multiplayer. But given as how this appears to be a story-driven trailer, it will be quite a treat to see how the Ghosts will play reconnaissance in snowy settings, desert areas, bustling towns/cities, on ships and in swampy locations, both in the day and at night.

Ghost Recon: Future Soldier drops one week from today on May 22nd in North America. Check out the launch trailer below.

Halo 4 Box Art Revealed

Pretty detailed eh? Like a tie between Halo Wars and Halo Reach? Well the above image was revealed through a puzzle-solving challenge given to fans of the series. E-mails were sent out to people with different pieces of the image, asking fans to put together the puzzle, in the e-mail which read: ”Your piece of the Halo 4 puzzle.”

The image, when pieced together revealed the first box art for the upcoming Halo 4 game. According to an article on g4tv.com, Microsoft is using the box art’s lure to teach the fans a little something about cooperation. Well it definitely paid off pretty well with the beautiful, detailed image you see before you. So what’s next for Halo 4? Well let’s hope that they’ll be some new gameplay/story footage at this year’s E3 2012, as it was last year where the game was confirmed to be under development in a new trilogy under 343 Industries.

We’ll try to keep you posted regarding any updates!
