Gundam

A 60-foot tall, 43.7 metric ton replica of “Gundam”

Now, i’m a fan of Gundams. For those who don’t know what a Gundam is, it is a  Generation Unsubdued Nuclear Drive Assault Module……or basically a giant 60-foot robot that kicks ass. Now i’m not sure whether to be awe-struck or scared by what i’ve heard, but i’ll tell you anyways.

According to Kotaku.com, members of Japan’s LDP (Liberal Democratic Party) are in talks about the possibilities of building a real life gundam. This isn’t a joke, party members Masaaki Taira and Hideki Niwa are slated to discuss how the LDP is “seriously considering the development of Gundam.” It was estimated that a working Gundam, one-to-one size and not a simple mock-up, would cost US$725 Million for parts and materials.

Now, replicas of giant mechs are common all over Japan, what these guys want to do is try to create mecha contraptions that could be used by the country’s Self Defense Force. Whether or not giant Gundams are actually seen as being ideal in a real life battle is anyone’s guess at this point.

Incoming Amazing Spiderman Let’s Play videos

WARNING: WATCH AT YOUR OWN RISK!

The first few parts for most of these videos are incredibly delayed, and at some points laggy. It’s going to somehow fix itself a little bit later, but I haven’t edited up to that point yet. Sadly, the first two and a half hours of gameplay I was able to film and edit became delayed. Here’s what I have up to so far. I’d suggest keeping some parts muted so you don’t hear the delay, and play your own music or at least enjoy the half-decent quality the videos came out to.

Fassbender to star in “Assassin’s Creed” live-action film

Michael Fassbender stars as David in Prometheus. He is now tied to a live-action Assassin’s Creed film.

According to an article on Variety, Prometheus-star Michael Fassbender will be starring and co-producing the upcoming live-action adaptation of Assassin’s Creed the videogame.

“Michael Fassbender was our first choice to play the franchise’s iconic hooded hero,” said Jean-Julien Baronnet, CEO of Paris-based Ubisoft Motion Pictures in an interview with Variety. “Michael (Fassbender) is an extremely smart, talented, versatile and committed actor.”

Ubisoft has confirmed that the film will be in 3D, and that Fassbender’s DMC filming company will be teaming up with Ubisoft Motion Pictures to help bring the game to life on the big-screen.

Variety says the “plot revolves around a man who learns his ancestors were trained assassins after he is kidnapped by a secret org with ties to the Knights Templar, and sent back in time to retrieve historical artifacts.” So will this mean the movie will revolve around Desmond, or will be be seeing Ezio or Altair? Who knows. All three names are listed under Fassbender’s wikipedia page as possible characters he may be playing, but this has yet to be confirmed.

Fassbender has made some pretty interesting movies in the past which have helped boost his popularity profile, with such roles in ”X-Men: First Class,” “Shame,” “Haywire,”  and more recently “Prometheus.”
