With one week left to go, Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is looking bigger and better than ever, and this new launch trailer proves it.
What’s really impressed me about Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is how incredibly unique it is in comparison to the Call of Dutys and the Battlefields. If you read my last post surrounding the story trailer that arrived last week, you can sense I’m getting more and more excited about this game as it approaches. I didn’t think I could get any more excited about a shooter game, but I’m anxious to return to the Ghost Recon universe.
So what does the trailer offer? Well this was the first I saw of the “drones”, which is a handheld, mini-helicopter that the Ghosts will likely use to scout their targets. There was also an increased usage of invisibility camouflage, something that you don’t normally see in a war-shooter game like this, but given that this is a futuristic setting, and these are the “Ghosts”, it seems to fit well.
I also liked the variety of locales made available, either in story mode or multiplayer. But given as how this appears to be a story-driven trailer, it will be quite a treat to see how the Ghosts will play reconnaissance in snowy settings, desert areas, bustling towns/cities, on ships and in swampy locations, both in the day and at night.
Ghost Recon: Future Soldier drops one week from today on May 22nd in North America. Check out the launch trailer below.
